Bethany Bridge Project

I was selected as the finalist from a pool of 21 applicants and four semifinalists to create community-generated mosaic illustrations for the Bethany Curve Bridge on Westcliff Drive. This public art project is a collaboration with Community Arts & Empowerment and the City of Santa Cruz. VIDEO
The Bethany Curve Bridge Community Mosaic project is centered on three vital water themes: Water is essential to life, Encouraging public behavior changes to improve the quality of our source waters and Promoting public education and awareness about the City's water resources and the importance of water conservation.

We are seeking volunteers to help assemble the 34 mosaic panels between November and February.
Community Arts & Empowerment has established a satellite studio for the community mosaic building in Santa Cruz. Please join us to volunteer at the Kron House in the Tannery Arts Center, 1070 River St., Santa Cruz. 
Our volunteer hours are: Saturdays: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Mondays and Thursdays: 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm
